AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The Texas House approved a batch of bills Saturday to further soften gun laws that were already among the country’s most firearms-friendly, allowing college students to carry handguns in class, putting potentially armed marshals in public schools and exempting the state from any future federal bans on assault rifles, high-capacity magazines or universal background checks.
Dubbed “gun day” by supporters and opponents alike, the parade of votes came as tens of thousands of members of the National Rifle Association attended the group’s annual convention in Houston. Gov. Rick Perrywelcomed convention attendees Friday with a video of him taking target practice using a semi-automatic rifle.
The 12 approved gun bills must all clear final, procedural votes before heading to the state Senate. Still, they advanced with only minimal delay, cruising past Democrat-led efforts to block or stall them. Nearly all were approved by simple voice votes.

A Democratic parliamentary point of order managed to shoot down just one, a bill by Rep. Van Taylor, R-Plano, that would have allowed the use of a concealed handgun license as valid proof of personal identification — even though obtaining such licenses requires a background check that’s not necessary to get driver licenses and many other forms of ID.
The fiercest debate in the Republican-controlled chamber came over the plan to allow students over 21 who already hold concealed weapons permits to take their handguns into college classrooms. The issue became exceedingly volatile during the last legislative session in 2011, and ultimately failed.
Pro-Second Amendment lawmakers have revived it, however. Sponsor Rep. Allen Fletcher, R-Tomball, reminded lawmakers: “College campuses are not crime-free zones.”
The measure would allow colleges and universities to opt out of the new rules annually — which has softened opposition to it among some top higher education leaders. Current law already allows universities to opt in, and the Texas A&M University System is among those that have done so.

Meanwhile, the Texas Senate has already approved a separate measure allowing college students to keep guns in their cars on campus. But the prospects for the campus carry bill passed by the House on Saturday appear far bleaker. Top Republicans have even suggested the issue will be a non-starter in the upper chamber.
The House also overwhelmingly approved a bill that attracted national attention when it was introduced by first-term, tea party Republican Rep. Steve Toth of The Woodlands. It would nullify within state borders any federal laws banning assault weapons or high-capacity magazines, or expansion of background checks for firearms owners, even though doing so would almost certainly violate the U.S. Constitution.
“There are 27 amendments in the Constitution but only one says ‘shall not be infringed,’” Toth said. “The Second Amendment is the amendment that keeps the people free.”
Rep. Armando Walle, D-Houston, raised a string of parliamentary objections to many of the gun bills, but they all failed. He asked Toth, “Is your bill political posturing?”
“We just passed by voice vote a slew of pro-gun legislation,” Walle said. “So what is this? Why do we need it?”
Rep. Gene Wu, a Houston Democrat, went further on Twitter, saying, “In case your head is too thick to understand: State law will not trump federal law.”
Conroe Republican Rep. Brandon Creighton, and several co-authors, sponsored a bill to punish by up to a year in jail and a $ 4,000 fine police officers or government officials who try to enforce federal firearms limits in Texas.
Also passing was the school marshal measure, sponsored by Dallas Republican Rep. Jason Villalba. The marshals would be employees who already hold concealed weapons permits and are chosen by their public school district or charter schools to receive firearms training. They would keep guns locked away on campus, but have access to them in an emergency — though their identities would not be divulged to the public.
Causing fewer fireworks when it passed was a measure reducing penalties for permit holders who accidentally show a concealed handgun.
Three other successful bills reduced the number of hours of training needed to obtain a concealed handgun license and tweaked the rules for renewing or being fingerprinted for one. A separate measure that passed 136-0 reduced the concealed handgun license fee for police officers, military veterans, national and state Guard members and even some Criminal Justice Department employees, despite costing the state up to $ 2 million in lost revenues.
Another measure that was approved was one by Democratic Rep. Ryan Guillen of Rio Grande City that’s meant to prohibit agencies from posting “no carry” signs in cases where carrying a gun isn’t illegal and imposing fines for violators. A bill by fellow Democrat Sergio Munoz of Palmview to expand school districts’ ability to alert hunters of the location of campuses also passed.

BOSTON MASSACRE 2013
CNN: Right-wing extremists to blame for explosions?
Network’s national-security analyst makes disturbing claim
Published: 2 days ago

2066
Within hours of the bombings in Boston that left at least three dead and more than 100 injured, left-leaning analysts in the media started the speculation that the bomber was “right-wing.”
It follows years of warnings already from the Obama administration that those who oppose abortion are potential terrorists and the military needs to beware of evangelical Christians.
Two explosions were heard near the finish line of the Boston Marathon and a federal law-enforcement source confirmed to the New York Post there are at least two dead. The fatality count was later upgraded to three, including an 8-year-old boy.
Fox News said dozens were injured – the Boston Globe reported 144 – including 10 whose limbs were amputated, following a large explosion. Then a smaller one happened a short while later.
Further, authorities then discovered at least two more devices that had not exploded and they were being dismantled by experts.
There was yet another device – a third explosion – at JFK Library in Boston, and fire officials said during a press conference it already had been linked to the ones at the marathon.
The Post said investigators have identified – and taken into custody – a suspect. Described as a Saudi Arabian national, officials said the 20-year-old suspect was under guard at an undisclosed Boston hospital. The city’s police commissioner later said no suspect was in custody.
Fox News said the suspect suffered severe burns, but there were no details whether he was injured in the attack and during the apprehension. The suspect was taken into custody less than two hours after the bombs went off around 2:50 p.m.
“We will get to the bottom of this. We’ll find out who did this. We’ll find out why they did this,” President Obama said today.
CNN national-security analyst Peter Bergen was questioned by reporter Jake Tapper about the explosions, and he said some of the information will become clear when police reveal what kind of explosive was used. He said al-Qaida often uses hydrogen peroxide explosives – while another explosion might signal that a “right-wing extremist” was involved.
The explosions, Bergan said, reminded him of the Oklahoma City bombing, for which Timothy McVeigh was arrested, convicted and executed.
WND contributor Reza Kahlili has been reporting since early December that terrorists were being dispatched to the United States to attack. Read the reports: IRAN ORDERS TERRORISTS: PREPARE FOR WAR; U.S. WARNED: AL-QAIDA HIT-SQUADS COMING; AL-QAIDA ALIVE AND WELL, READY TO ATTACK WEST; and NEXT 9/11: IRAN’S DEATH SQUAD IS HERE.
And Bergen said it also brought to mind other “right-wing” activities.
“Right-wing groups trying to attacking, for instance – trying to attack the Martin Luther King parade in Oregon in 2010,” he said. “So, if it is a device of some kind, you know, we shouldn’t leap to conclusion about where it’s coming from.”
When a dozen people were shot and killed, and another couple dozen wounded, at a theater in Aurora, Colo., last year, ABC’s Brian Ross immediately suggested the attacker was from the political right – because there was a “James Holmes” in Colorado’s tea party movement.
Both Ross and ABC later apologized for their overreach.

Obama’s Department of Homeland Security famously warned at the beginning of his first term about Christians, pro-lifers, those who supported third-part presidential candidates and returning vets as being suspect. Then just recently, the “inflammatory rhetoric” of Army officials was cited by the head of the Family Research Council in his warning to supporters that Obama could put evangelical Christians and Catholics on a “watch list” to prevent them from purchasing guns.
FRC President Tony Perkins said on his “Washington Watch” radio broadcast Wednesday that the Senate’s bipartisan proposal requiring background checks for Internet gun sales is “very concerning given the fact that the United States military has been increasingly showing hostility toward evangelicals and Catholics as being somehow threats to national security and people that need to be watched.”
In an email to FRC supporters, Perkins explained that a recent Army briefing on “religious extremism” declared evangelical Christians and Catholics are among the biggest threats to America, along with Islamic supremacist groups such as al-Qaida and Hamas.

Perkins said it was also discovered that, in an email, Army Lt. Col. Jack Rich highlighted FRC and the American Family Association as groups that do not share “our army values.”

In his broadcast Wednesday, Perkins tied together the Army rhetoric with the proposed Senate legislation.

“Well, what does that have to do with gun control?” he continued. “Well, what happens if all the sudden you are identified as an evangelical, Bible-believing fundamentalist and the government decides you’ve got to be put on a watch list?”

Perkins explained that under the legislation, if “a caution comes up when they put your name in, you don’t get a chance to buy a gun.”
The controversial Army briefing, titled “Extremism and Extremist Organizations,” was given to an reserve unit in Pennsylvania.
A slide titled “Religious Extremism” listed organizations and movements such as the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaida, Hamas, the Nation of Islam, the Ku Klux Klan and Christian Identity as examples.
Other military missteps that have been identified include:
• A Fort Leavenworth War Games scenario identified Christian and evangelical groups as potential threats;
• A 2009 Department of Homeland Security memo identified evangelicals and pro-life groups as potential threats to national security;
• The U.S. Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center released a study linking pro-lifers to terrorism;
• Evangelical leader Franklin Graham was uninvited from the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer service;
• At the National Cemetery in Houston, Christian prayers were prohibited at the funeral services for military veterans;
• Distribution of Bibles was banned for a time at Walter Reed Army Medical Center
• Christian crosses and a steeple were removed from a chapel in Afghanistan because the military said the icons disrespected other religions;
• Catholic chaplains were prohibited from reading a letter to parishioners from their archbishop regarding the Obama HHS mandate.
Who do you expect is responsible for Boston Massacre 2013?
• Christian radicals
• Extreme right-wingers
• North Korea in celebration of Kim Il-sung’s birthday
• Yankee fans
• Somebody angry about their tax bill on Tax Day
• I don’t know, but I have faith in Obama’s promise: ‘We will find out who did this’
• I don’t know, but the attack was pure evil

The Power to Assassinate a Compliant and Submissive People
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article34112.htm

By Jacob G. Hornberger

February 27, 2013 “Information Clearing House” – (fff) – President Obama’s nomination of John Brennan is being held up over Brennan’s refusal to state whether the president’s power to assassinate Americans (and others) extends to American soil. The controversy is summed up in a great article by Glenn Greenwald.

The fact that Brennan could not bring himself to immediately say that the president doesn’t have the power to assassinate Americans (and others) right here within the United States is revealing. He undoubtedly knows that the president does claim to wield such power and that the president just doesn’t want to alarm Americans by informing them that he now wields the power to assassinate anyone he wants, including Americans here in the United States.

I can’t see how there’s any room for doubt here. Ever since President Bush claimed extraordinary powers after the 9/11 attacks, we here at The Future of Freedom Foundation have been pointing out that the powers were not limited to foreigners or to foreign lands. When U.S. forces, both military and CIA, were kidnapping people, torturing them, and incarcerating them without trial, we kept emphasizing that such powers were not limited to foreigners. By following the logic employed by Bush and his associates, it was clear that those extraordinary powers extended to Americans as well, both abroad and here at home.

But all too many Americans comforted themselves by thinking that those extraordinary powers applied only to foreigners and that the powers were necessary to keep them “safe.” Therefore, they endorsed what was going on with much enthusiasm, simply blocking out of their minds that they were also endorsing the most revolutionary change in the relationship between the federal government and the American citizenry in U.S. history.

Then came the case of Jose Padilla. He was an American who was accused of conspiracy to commit terrorism. Rather than have him indicted and then prosecute him in federal court, the feds whisked him away to a military dungeon, where the Pentagon tortured him and threatened to keep him incarcerated for the rest of his life as an “enemy combatant” in the “war on terrorism.”

We took a leading role in opposing that extraordinary exercise of military supremacy over the American citizenry. We continually pointed out that what they did to Padilla, if upheld, they could then do to all other Americans. But because Padilla was not the most sympathetic character in the world, all too many Americans were happy over what the feds were doing to him, blocking out of their minds that the feds could now do the same thing to all other Americans.

And sure enough, the federal courts, in the fear-ridden environment of post-9/11, upheld what the president and the Pentagon did to Padilla, which means that they can now do the same to every American — and some 12 years after the 9/11 attacks!

And now we have the president’s assassination program, in which the president, along with his military and CIA, now wield the power to assassinate anyone they want, no questions asked. They’ve already killed countless foreigners as well as at least three Americans, including a 16-year-old boy. They do it all in secret and are not required to answer any questions as to who they have assassinated or why. Their power to kill people is omnipotent.

Do they claim the power to assassinate Americans right here at home? How can there be any doubt about it? From the very beginning, they simply converted a standard federal crime — terrorism — into an act of war. They called it “the war on terrorism,” and said that this war was just like World Wars I and II. They said that in war, they have the right to take captives, torture them, and execute illegal enemy combatants, and also to assassinate the enemy.

They also said that this war would go on forever or for at least the lifetimes of everyone living today, given that there were so many terrorists in the world. As part of that war, the president, the military, and the CIA would have to assume extraordinary powers, they said, ones that were inherent to the most extreme dictatorships in history.
Significantly, they repeatedly emphasized that in this war, the battlefield wasn’t limited to the Middle East or surrounding regions. Instead, in this war the entire world constituted the battlefield. That, of course, included the United States.

Thus, it didn’t take a rocket scientist to draw the logical conclusion — whatever extraordinary powers were being exercised against foreign “enemy combatants” in the “war on terrorism” could be applied against people right here on American soil, including Americans.

Of course, as we have also been pointing out since 9/11, the entire matter is just one great big sham and fraud. They took a federal criminal offense — terrorism — and used it a ruse to claim that America was now “at war” and then claimed extreme dictatorial powers in the process. It would be no different if the president used another federal war — the “war on drugs” — as a ruse to assume extraordinary dictatorial powers, such as the power to kidnap, torture, execute, and assassinate suspected drug users and dealers.

Our American ancestors tried their best to prevent this dictatorial nonsense. That’s why they used the Constitution to bring into existence a government of limited, enumerated powers. Notice that the dictatorial powers claimed by Bush and Obama are not among those enumerated powers. To make sure that federal officials got the point, our ancestors demanded the enactment of four separate amendments to the Constitution — the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th Amendments. Those amendments stated that with respect to federal crimes, people would be guaranteed the protections of criminal indictments, due process of law, trial by jury, freedom from cruel and unusual punishments, and other protections.

And there is another important thing to note about those four amendments. Notice that the protections and guarantees apply to people in general, not just to Americans. That’s because our ancestors understood that justice requires that the rules apply to everyone equally, not one set of rules for foreigners and another set of rules for Americans. Thus, under our system of justice, President Obama has no right to be assassinating anyone or torturing anyone or incarcerating anyone without due process of law and trial by jury.

And it must be emphasized: terrorism is, in fact, a federal crime. That’s why they ultimately made Padilla a criminal defendant. That’s why terrorism is listed in the U.S. Code as a criminal offense. That’s why they have terrorism cases in federal court all the time. The truth is that there is no real war and there has never been one, any more than there has been a real war in the “war on drugs.” After all, how is the enemy supposed to surrender in this “war”? Where are the transport ships bringing invading troops to America? Where are the supply lines?

And let’s not forget something else of equal importance — the only reason that people are killing U.S. troops over there is because they’re over there interfering with the affairs of other countries. That’s what the killing is all about on both sides —not because people are trying to conquer America and enslave Americans but simply because they want the U.S. government, especially the U.S. military and CIA, out of their countries. And the more the Pentagon and the CIA continue to kill people in the process, the more they generate an endless supply of terrorists, which they then use to perpetuate their dictatorial powers. As I have long pointed out, the U.S. government is the greatest terrorist-producing machine in history.

It’s all been a sham, a fraud, and a ruse to enable the U.S. national-security state to adopt the same powers of dictatorship that it has long supported and trained, such as Pinochet’s dictatorship in Chile, the military dictatorships in Guatemala, the Shah’s dictatorship in Iran, Mubarak’s dictatorship in Egypt, and many more.

But Brennan shouldn’t been concerned about alarming Americans about Obama’s power to assassinate them on American soil. As we have learned since 9/11, the American people are among the most compliant, cooperative, and submissive people on the planet. All the feds have to do is say that they are doing it to keep them safe, and except for libertarians and (a few liberals and conservatives), unfortunately all too many Americans continue to fall for anything and agree to anything the government wants to do to them.

Economy: It is most important for people to understand that our financial destruction has been orchestrated for a generation or more!

Canada Free Press – by Doug Hagmann

America finds itself “over a barrel” (perhaps literally), and at the precipice of financial Armageddon due to the coming collapse of the U.S. dollar. It is most important for people to understand that our financial destruction has been orchestrated for a generation or more, and has been intentionally accelerated over the last two decades to complete a specific agenda.

All is well in the land of Oz

In order to survive what is coming, it is imperative to understand that agenda, who and what is behind it, and the motive. The bigger picture will connect some very important dots.

America is in serious financial trouble, and events on the immediate horizon will forever change our lifestyle. However, if you are like me, trying to convince your friends at work, your neighbors, or perhaps even your spouse that this is true is a formidable (if not impossible) task. They might counter your warnings by pointing to the people walking out of retail stores with big ticket items, or if they are trying to appear more astute, cite the positive gains in the stock market while snickering at you for buying silver at nearly $ 50 per ounce, while it now hovers at $ 30 per ounce. You might have even been called a doomsayer or conspiracy nut for buying storable food or extra items for your pantry. However (if their ego permits it), these will be the same people who will turn to you for answers and practical advice when the financial house of cards falls to the floor.

It is an accepted mantra that the bigger the lie, the more readily people will believe it. That is the case in which we find ourselves today. The entire world (especially Americans and the West) is in for a “crude awakening.” In our current state, perception is not reality. We are being subjected to lie upon lie that feeds our normalcy bias. “Things will never get as bad as you say, at least not here in America,” is a common statement that you might be hearing. Others will argue that intervention by our government will prevent any significant financial disaster. They don’t understand that it is the elements within our own government (or elements working in conjunction with our elected leaders) who are actually responsible for the financial crisis that we will soon face. What people are seeing is not reality, but their perception of reality as a result of the conditioning and brainwashing by our elected leaders and the complicit corporate media. The American public has been conditioned and brainwashed en masse into believing a lie.

What is the truth?

The truth is that America is a “captured operation.” It has been captured from within. The Democrat-Republican, right-left paradigm is nothing more than an erroneous perception that permits the illusion of dueling agendas, when, in fact, there is only one. For example, how else would one explain the continuity of agenda between George W. Bush and Barack Obama?

If one accepts the fact that America is a captured operation, then it would be reasonable to ask, “Captured by whom or what?” And, “What is the end-game objective of those controlling the puppet strings? Who are the puppet masters?”

To gain insight and answer these questions, it is logical to follow the investigative adage, “follow the money,” and to understand that “he who owns the gold makes the rules.” To gain further understanding of our precarious position, it is also important to have a basic understanding of the U.S. dollar.

Since the dollar was taken off the gold standard on August 15, 1971 by then-President Richard Nixon, many believe that it is not backed by anything of value and is nothing more than a promise on a piece of paper. Technically, that would appear to be true. But in reality, the current stability of the U.S. dollar is backed by oil, or the promise of the free and unrestricted access to the flow of oil.

There is a lot of history about our economic system that should be known and understood, including the creation of the privately owned cartel of central banks that was made legal under the Federal Reserve Act and is now chaired by Ben Bernanke. That history, however, would be better served by a more extensive column at another time. Currently at issue is how things are about to play out for the average Americans who are straddled by a growing and oppressive debt, to the point that we have shamelessly permitted our own children, and the future generations of America, to be sold into financial slavery.

As Americans, we are over a barrel. If you look closely at the fine print on that barrel, you will see that the barrel is fully owned by the Islamic Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are the puppets of the Saudis, lock, stock and barrel. But there is more.

Confluence of events

If you find it difficult to accept that we are operating as a “branch office” of the Saudis, then consider our current financial and geopolitical situation, and work backward. Consider the meteoric rise to power by Barack Hussein Obama. Do you really believe that he rose to power on the merits of his political career as a junior senator from Illinois? What about the funding his campaign received from foreign donations, that was noted as an anomaly, yet not audited to the point of precise origin. Could not much of that money be traced to Saudi Arabia, or to specific elements acting on their behalf?
How about Obama’s education, including (but not limited to) his acceptance into Harvard? Who footed the bill? A bit of investigative research points to funding that originated from a very wealthy Saudi prince. But at what cost, or with what strings?
There are many more examples of his Saudi ties, and his capitulation to their agenda of a pan-Islamic state via the Muslim Brotherhood. These are available to anyone who is willing to perform the research.
The most significant bit of evidence of all, however, relates to Obama’s actions as the President of the United States, especially in one specific event: Benghazi.
Although one has to look no further than his war against developing a domestic oil drilling and refining program, the most blatant evidence of Saudi control can be found in his actions related to the September 11, 2012 murderous attacks in Benghazi. It is here that the curtain shielding the truth is pulled back, and some very important pieces of evidence become exposed. The events that took place in Benghazi reveal that the United States is providing the military muscle, the sweat and blood of our men and women in and out of uniform, to accomplish the objectives of the Saudis. It was a military extension of the much celebrated Arab Spring, which (contrary to media accounts) is a Saudi plan of expansion.
It is Benghazi that provides a glimpse into the truth, and is the reason that the Obama regime has viciously fought against any attempts at getting to the truth. Truth will reveal that America, to further the agenda of the Saudis, was involved in the largest arms supplying operation in history. We were providing the anti-Assad rebels with the arms and technical assistance to overthrow Assad, destabilize Syria, and (like Egypt) install a puppet of the Muslim Brotherhood. For detailed information on Benghazi, I would urge readers to review my investigative series published on this site.
At this point, you might ask what this has to do with our domestic financial situation and the coming collapse of the dollar. Again, we must look at the larger picture.
What is the end-game scenario?
What everyone has been witnessing, but failing to understand, is a geopolitical chess game being played by the globalist power brokers, or the international central bankers. Saudi Arabia is using the assets of the U.S. military, and building their pan-Islamic Kingdom on the blood and tears of our men and women. The Saudis are also instruments of the globalists, who are working overtime to implement a global currencyand a world power structure.
This is the brainchild of decades and generations of planning by an elite group of people who have the money and power to restructure the world. They are the members of the various societies no one wants to talk about, or no one wants to admit exist. Their seat of power is located in a single square mile in London. They control the wealth of the globe.
In order for them to be able to complete their plan of global governance, the United States must cease to exist as a Constitutional Republic and a viable military force. Since these elites are unable to do it by military might, they have planned and plotted, for at least a generation, to infiltrate our government with their own. If that sounds too outlandish to accept, then simply look at the many events over the last century through today. Our President is Barack Hussein Obama, a man who has yet to prove his Constitutional eligibility (and no one in Congress is willing to press the issue). We have an impotent Congress, stacked federal courts, and a draconian Homeland Security apparatus that appears to be gearing up for war. Against who?
We are witnessing the end game scenario beginning to play out. An expedient method to collapse the U.S. dollar would be to interrupt (or even threaten to interrupt) the free flow of oil, without having the ability to drill and refine domestically. Since the only commodity holding up the dollar is oil, what would that do to our domestic economy?
Considering that this condition has existed through multiple administrations, does this not indicate some level of complicity by Obama’s predecessors, simply by the continuity of agenda? What about the press? They have been absent and impotent as well, failing to dig deep into these issues. Instead, they provide sound bites, and just enough truth to thinly veil the lies it covers.
A financial collapse would certainly result in a societal collapse, at which point we would see violence across the country within days. Our food supply would be interrupted, and stores would be emptied in hours. Before stability can be restored, many will die. Those who have not been fooled by the agenda of the globalists will personally experience the reason why our domestic security force (known as the Department of Homeland Security) has been buying ammunition and weapons, and hardening their assets.
Meanwhile, there is an aggressive push to shred the Constitution and disarm law-abiding American citizens. The obedient, lapdog media is complicit in this as well, redefining the purpose of the Second Amendment to a mind-numbed public.
The confluence of events we are witnessing (from gun control to our foreign policies) is not by accident, but is the result of much planning. To those with discernment, the collapse of the dollar is one part of a larger plan of global governance. The lives lost within America will be collateral damage welcomed by the evil and insidious.
It’s not if, but when.

Christopher Jordan Dorner (Reuters / Irvine Police Department / Handout)

California police have launched a manhunt for a former LAPD officer who is suspected of having gunned down five people, three of which were killed. Los Angeles Police already shot two innocent people while trying to detain the suspect.

Fear has struck the Los Angeles Police Department as authorities frantically search for the man who murdered their colleagues and promises to target anyone in uniform.

Former LAPD officer and US Navy reservist Christopher Jordan Dorner, 33, began his shooting spree with the killing of a young couple. Monica Quan, 28, and her 27-year-old fiancé, Keith Lawrence, were found dead in their car on Sunday night – an act of violence that Dorner called “a necessary evil that I do not enjoy but must partake and complete for substantial change to occur within the LAPD.”
The young woman was the daughter of Randal Quan, a former LAPD captain and current lawyer who represented Dorner in front of the Board of Rights, which ruled against him when he was fired from his job in early 2009. Even though Quan represented Dorner before the board, he was unsuccessful in securing his client’s employment.

The other three shooting victims were all LAPD police officers, one of which suffered fatal gunshot wounds Wednesday evening. In a 20-page manifesto published online, Dorner promised to continue killing, and specifically targeted police officers he believes were involved in his dismissal from the LAPD, where he worked from 2005 to 2008.

In response, the LAPD has launched a statewide manhunt and is standing armed and ready to use lethal force, should they encounter the suspect. Police who were guarding one of Dorner’s targeted officers opened fire and wounded two innocent people in a pickup truck in Torrance that closely resembled the one that the suspect was thought to be driving – a blue or grey Nissan Titan. The pickup had been driving without its lights on at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, prompting the officers to blindly shoot at it.

“Tragically we believe this was a case of mistaken identity by the officers,” said LAPD Police Chief Charlie Beck.

Authorities have not discussed the extent of the gunshot injuries afflicted upon the bystanders, but the two victims were hospitalized.

Nearby, there was another police shooting when LAPD officers saw a separate pickup truck that also resembled the suspect’s. The bullets failed to hit the innocent driver of the truck, but points towards the fear instilled among the LAPD as they desperately search for Dorner, prepared to use any means to stop him.

Dorner’s truck was recovered, ablaze and without him in it, later Thursday night in the San Bernardino mountains a few hours’ drive from Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the killer is still on the loose, determined to make himself known after losing his job four years ago.

“I lost everything,” Dorner wrote, “because the LAPD took my name and knew I was innocent.”

In a bloodthirsty act of vengeance, the former cop vowed also to murder some of the family members of the officers he listed.

“I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own, I’m terminating yours,” Dorner wrote, while explaining that the shooting spree is an act to “reclaim my name”, which be believes he lost when he was fired. Dorner cited severe depression as a consequence of his termination, since his life’s ambition was to be a police officer.

Dorner was fired from the LAPD four years ago for making a false statement about his training officer, Sgt. Teresa Evans. The former cop alleged to the news media that she kicked a schizophrenic with severe dementia. But after an internal investigation Sgt. Evans was cleared and Dorner terminated from the police force.

“Your lack of ethics and conspiring to wrong a just individual are over,” he wrote in his manifesto. “Suppressing the truth will lead to deadly consequences for you and your family. There will be an element of surprise where you work, live, eat and sleep.”

Odd information about Dorner is making its way through the media as the search continues.

“Learned today suspect Christopher Dorner sent me a parcel at CNN. Inside was a note, DVD, and a coin shot thru with bullet holes,” CNN host Anderson Cooper tweeted Thursday evening. The coin is reportedly an LAPD souvenir medal.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are now involved in the manhunt. Targets named in Dorner’s manifesto will receive protection until authorities apprehend the man on the run.
The California Highway Patrol issued a blue alert for nine counties in Southern California, which requires information about the suspect to be broadcast to the public to receive help in the suspect’s apprehension.

“The violence of action will be high,” Dorner promised. “I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty.”
Police continue to search for Dorner are standing ready to use their weapons, since authorities say Thorner is
“armed and extremely dangerous.”

Egypt: Free People Not Going Quietly Into the Sharia Night

By , February 2, 2013 4:36 pm

Survey after survey, as well as the election results that put the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohammed Morsi in the presidential palace, show that most Egyptians want Islamic law. But those who do not are not submitting quietly to Sharia tyranny.

Morsi has declared a state of emergency and given the military the power to arrest civilian protesters, yet still the anti-Morsi demonstrations continue. And while he quickly endorsed the demonstrations against Hosni Mubarak that ultimately led to the Muslim Brotherhood’s ascent to power, Barack Obama has been reticent about supporting these demonstrations, as he was in 2009 when thousands of Iranians took to the streets to protest against the mullahcracy.

But aren’t these “pro-democracy” protesters? After all, Morsi has been notably inhospitable to dissent, arresting his critics and overseeing the adoption of a constitution that Egyptian Christians fear will be used to deny them basic rights, in accord with Sharia provisions institutionalizing discrimination against non-Muslims. Videos have come to light in which he lashed out against Jews with venomous hatred, referring to Qur’anic curses of them as “apes and pigs” and declaring that there could be no negotiations with Israel.

Those who are protesting against his regime, on the other hand, are in favor of genuine democratic rule, without Sharia restrictions on the freedom of speech and its denial of equality of rights to large segments of the popular.

Yet Obama is silent. The only two mass popular uprisings in Muslim countries that he has not supported have one thing in common: both have been against pro-Sharia Islamic supremacist regimes. All the popular uprisings he has supported, meanwhile, have resulted in the installation of pro-Sharia Islamic supremacist regimes.

One might be pardoned for thinking that Obama is in favor of pro-Sharia Islamic supremacist regimes. In any case, so are most Egyptians: a Pew Research Center survey conducted in Spring 2010, before the chimerical “Arab Spring” and the toppling of Mubarak, found that no fewer than eighty-five percent of Egyptians thought that Islam was a positive influence in politics. Fifty-nine percent said they identified with “Islamic fundamentalists” in their struggle against “groups who want to modernize the country,” who had the support of only twenty-seven percent of Egyptians. Only twenty percent were “very concerned” about “Islamic extremism” within Egypt.

Another survey in May 2012 found little difference. 61 percent of Egyptians stated that they wanted to see Egypt abandon its peace treaty with Israel, and the same number identified the hardline Islamic kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the country that should serve as Egypt’s model for the role Islam should play in government. 60 percent said that Egypt’s laws should hew closely to the directives of the Qur’an.

Yet these surveys show that a substantial minority in Egypt does not want Sharia, and the demonstrations this week demonstrate that they’re determined to make a stand. They oppose the new Egyptian constitution that, as the Associated Press reported, “largely reflects the conservative vision of the Islamists, with articles that rights activists, liberals and Christians fear will lead to restrictions on the rights of women and minorities and civil liberties in general.” They have every reason to be concerned, for the constitution reflects in numerous particulars Sharia restrictions on their rights. AP noted that the constitution’s wording “could give Islamists the tool for insisting on stricter implementation of rulings of Shariah.”

Also, “the draft contains no article specifically establishing equality between men and women because of disputes over the phrasing. However, it maintains that a woman must balance her duties toward family and outside work, suggesting that she can be held accountable if her public role conflicts with her family duties. No such article is mentioned for men.”

The implications for women’s rights are as obvious as they are unsurprising in light of Sharia’s reduction of women to the status of little more than commodities, slaves of the men who own them.

Then there are numerous articles heralding the introduction of Sharia restrictions on the freedom of speech. Islamic law forbids criticism of Islam, Muhammad and the Qur’an, and the constitution duly contains an article that “bans insulting or defaming the prophet and messengers.” And it doesn’t stop there. Another article bans “insulting humans,” suggesting authoritarian restrictions on criticism of political leaders, and yet another “underlines that the state will protect ‘the true nature of the Egyptian family … and promote its morals and values,’” about which AP notes: “phrasing that is vague and suggests state control over the contents of such arts forms as books and films.”

Darkness is descending upon Egypt, with willing aid from the putative leader of the free world, who has resisted cancellation of a deal that would send F-16s, tanks, and $ 1.5 billion to Egypt. The protesters whom Barack Obama should be supporting are on the streets of Cairo now. Instead, the outgoing Secretary of State insists that Morsi has “a lot of the right intentions” and that opposing him would be unwise: “We must make sure the revolution isn’t hijacked by extremists.”

In reality, the “extremists” are already in power. That America is not standing with those who oppose them is just the latest disgrace in the long line of disgraces that is Obama’s foreign policy.

Syrian Rebels Ban Women From Wearing Pants, Force People Into Mosques

By , January 30, 2013 2:30 pm

No freedom to see here. Just Islam. This is life under the strongest fighting force in the Syrian rebellion. A force that also happens to be aligned with Al Qaeda.

In a small town in Syria’s east, Islamist militants have taken unclothed mannequins they see as sexually enticing out of the shops.

Members of the al-Nusra Front, al Qaeda’s Syria affiliate, have also prevented women from wearing trousers, preferring that they adopt the shapeless head-to-toe black veil.

The town of 54,000 on the Euphrates river offers a snapshot of what life could be like if Islamist rebels take control of significant areas of Syria as President Bashar al-Assad loses further ground.

Insurgents with long Sunni-Muslim-style beards patrol the streets enforcing a strict interpretation of Islam. Alcohol is removed from shops. Daily religious teaching is provided for Mayadin’s children, who get free loaves of bread if they attend.

One young boy who attends these classes told Reuters that pupils are taught about praying, the role of women, the place of polygamy in marriage and jihad against “Assad’s Alawite regime.”

It almost seems as if the Jihadists of the Al Nusra Front hate women more than they hate Assad. But that’s Islam for you.

Their militants, bolstered by veteran Iraqis who battled U.S. forces, fought alongside rebel units from the Free Syrian Army, an umbrella group of rebels ranging from those who say they are fighting for democracy to hardline Islamists, to take Mayadin.

Isn’t it great how Obama successfully wrapped up that conflict in Iraq and then Libya. If he wraps up Afghanistan half as well, we may have another September 11 before his term is up.

Al-Nusra have been shrewd. They took control of the nearby al-Ward oil and gas field and also went straight for the grain silos. They control the resources, which gives them power.

There is little bread and water, no telephone or Internet services and schools have closed. People eat weeds from the Euphrates and some will make the journey to Deir al-Zor to buy food, risking arrest or death as they cross enemy lines.

Liberal residents try to continue life as normal but are feeling the day-to-day effects of strict Islamist rule. Many stocked up on Arak, a grape-based liquor, when they heard that al-Nusra fighters were closing down the shops. A bottle of Arak can now be bought in Mayadin for five times Damascus’ prices but the transaction must be done in secret.

Al-Nusra fighters present a threat to those who want democracy in Syria. Instead, they envision a caliphate and a return to the lifestyle of the 7th century. Shops are forcibly closed at prayer times and people are rounded up in the streets five times daily to go to mosques.

Just think, if Obama doesn’t intervene in Syria soon, these people might actually lose the war.

everything is religious or related to religious beliefs, whether we know that or not.

anyways, to respond to your comment – that is a pretty bold claim. people may not know or understand the dogmatic details of their religion…but surely they understand the essence of it. and if not, we have a duty to explain that essence to them (again, hopefully avoiding getting away from and being distracted, as seems to be happening alot in my discussions with the shia supporters).

People are not equal and are not all scholars or even students of knowledge – so of course people are going to believe what others tell them.

The same is true not just of religious matters – but also politics, economics, and so forth. so what is the difference? even on here, we trust what other people tell us in exposing the lies of the mainstream (zionist-controlled) media. so we all do this (the Islamic term is “taqleed”)…but we have a choice (the free-will that God gave us) as to whom we trust in our taqleed. whether Usama (ra), or Khomeni, or some evil ruler, or some televesion reporter, or a sports athelete, or a celebrity, or our family members, or whoever.

get what i mean?

Authority belongs to God, not to man, and man is to be obedient to those men who rule in accordance with what God has revealed.

Now, if you do not believe God to be the authority figure of man, and you don’t believe that God has made a clear revelation for all of mankind to follow (outlining the purpose of life and what is the come after this life and the way in which we should live our lives and organize and legislate and so forth)…then I ask you – what sort of Creator is that you believe in!?
